One job, start to finish

A cracked shop slab, glossed.

These are Craig's own photos of one customer's shop. No crew came through between frames. The person who filled the cracks is the person who laid the final coat.

Cracks filled before anything else

The slab came to Craig with cracks running across it. Each one was filled and levelled first, because every coat above it will show what was left underneath.

Chip down across the whole floor

Then the colour chip went down wall to wall, no bald patches, so the finished floor has grip underfoot and hides the dust between sweeps.

Sealed in gloss

The clear coat locks the chip in and gives the floor its shine. Same shop, same vintage signs on the walls, a different floor under them. How a flake system goes down

Resurfaced, not replaced

A pitted driveway does not have to be torn out.

Concrete overlays for pitting driveways are one of the jobs Craig features first. Here is how one goes down, in three of his own photos.

Driveway slab with patched pits and joints, cleaned and ready for an overlay

Patch

The damage gets repaired first

Pits, flaking and open joints are patched and the slab is cleaned off. An overlay bonds to what is underneath it, so the old surface has to be sound before anything new goes over it.

Overlay

A new surface over the old slab

The overlay is laid across the whole driveway with the edges taped clean at the siding, the walk and the lawn, then the plank pattern is cut in so it reads as boards rather than a patch job.

Craig McConathy does, every step of it. Columbia River Coatings is a one-man business: the person who comes out for the consultation is the person who repairs the slab, lays the coating and puts down the final coat. No big crews, no runaround.

Metallic epoxy, epoxy flake systems, solid colour epoxy, garage floors and high-build industrial coatings for shops, warehouses and production floors. Craig also lays concrete overlays, including a hardwood-look plank finish, and pours epoxy countertops.

Often, yes. A concrete overlay goes over the existing driveway after the damaged spots are patched, and it can be finished in a stamped plank pattern. Book a consultation and Craig will tell you plainly whether an overlay is the right call for your slab.

No prices are listed, because the size, the condition of the concrete and the finish you choose all change the job. Book a consultation or call (509) 492-8403 and you will get a straight quote for your space.
